Mystery Blogger Award

Yayayay, „Utopie versus Realität“ got nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award!

In my opinion, blogger awards are fun for two reasons: Firstly, because I really enjoy answering questions about myself (do you remember the friend books everyone had in primary school? I loved them, even though they always had the same questions). Secondly, because they encourage the exchange between bloggers and they are simply a nice way of saying „hey, I like your writing“.

That’s why I am happy about the nomination by Karmen, who, on her blog „Ich kreiere also bin ich“ shares thoughts and articles on personal development and overcoming self-sabotage, among other things. Thanks, your posts are sometimes uncomfortable for me, but they always help me grow.

2. What makes you angry?
3. Would you change your past decisions, if you could? Which one(s)?
4. What does your perfect day look like?
5. My weird/funny question for you: imagine you are abducted by aliens. What are they like?

MY ANSWERS TO KARMEN’S QUESTIONS:

What is your favourite childhood memory?

I remember being on holiday in Denmark with my parents, staying just a short walk from the see. It is windy as hell and everything looks wild: the grass, the clouds, the trees, the ocean that you can see from afar. I am running across the fields with my jacket weirdly tied to my neck and shoulders, because I am superwoman. I am feeling strong and free and I am overflowing with energy and happiness.

What ist the most inspiring thing on your To-Do-List?

Hm, my daily or weekly to-do-list is not that inspiring: make it to 6000 words for my master’s thesis, sell stuff online, make a doctor’s appointment, those kinds of things. Last week, biking from Ludwigshafen/Rhine to Cologne (about 280 km) was on my bucket list, but I took the train after a full day of biking, because it was raining a lot.
When it comes to my bucket list, I guess my aim of traveling through South America on a budget could be seen as inspiring – and will hopefully inspire me, when I get the chance to do it.

What ist your characteristic that you want to be known and loved for?

I love being unpredictable. Most probably, this is not the most lovable characteristic, but being underestimated and surprising people with what I can do is really my jam. Courageous might be a nicer word for this; surprising others with my courage.
But since making decisions is not my strong point, I’d also like to be known for being kind, authentic, loyal, intelligent and dedicated, please. 🙂

If you were guaranteed 100% success – what would you choose to do?

Founding a women’s rights NGO would be something that I would love to do, if it was easy… Also, writing a book, which makes me feel everything else than courageous for not trying even though there is no guarantee for success.

And here is  the funny question: write us a funny joke or cartoon that includes at least one animal, please!

God, I am terrible at remembering and telling jokes, but this one I actually remembered:
An elephant steps on an anthill. The ants are furious and try to defend their home against the „invader“. They crawl onto the elephant, but he just shakes them off. Only one brave ant is holding onto the neck of the elephant. The other ants cheer it on: go, Edgar, choke him! 🥳
